New trock songs…

benluchs on YouTube has “Psychic Paper” and “Kill Me if You Can.”

The OodCast is back with several new songs. You can download and listen to the episodes here and here.

Time Children have released a new song about Victory of the Daleks, “Daleks Make the Best Tea.”

Psychic Pollen has released several new trock songs, including, most recently, “Martha Saves the Earth.” Psychic Pollen uploads a new trock song every two weeks – 6 so far – and they’re all really great, so it’s a project you should be sure to keep an eye on!

Not exactly news, but…

Wizard rock heart throb rockstar, Alex Carpenterrevealed in a recent video that he has “9 or 10” trock songs written to be released under the name Bad Wolf and the Sonic Srewdrivers sometime in the future. You can hear a clip of one of the songs, entitled “When the Pandorica Opens,” in this video. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to hear more!

Not exactly trock, but…

A couple of weeks ago, Mitch Benn released “Proud of the BBC,” a tribute song in support of everyone’s favorite broadcasting company. (Without them we wouldn’t have Doctor Who!) It’s not a trock song, but it does mention Doctor Who multiple times. And it’s really catchy. Watch the video here and go here for more information.

I’d also like to mention Sons of Admirals, the new musical collaboration of Alex Day, Charlie McDonnell, EddPlant, and Tom Milsom. Their first single, “Here Comes My Baby,” (a cover of the original song by Cat Stevens) is currently making its way up the UK music charts. Yeah, it’s not trock, but it is worth mentioning that all four members of Sons of Admirals are involved with trock. Alex and Charlie are both part of Chameleon Circuit, Ed is the man behind Quantum Locked, and Tom Milsom has released an entire EP of trock songs. If you’re interested in purchasing the song (and some other goodies, too) look for them in iTunes or wherever else you like to buy music from.

I’m making these trock news posts a regular, monthly feature. Keep an eye on this site to find out about new time lord rock songs, videos, albums, and more!

I’m so psyched that you’re doing this. We really need a trock newsletter. And now we have one! Yaaaay!

Also, I don’t know if you check the DFTBA Records website as obsessively as I do (Erm. Every day.), but Dr. Noise is coming out with a new album and there are definitely trock songs to be heard. I’m a bit of a newbie to Doctor Who, as I have said earlier, so there may be more songs beyond the ones that are made really, really obvious by their titles, but there definitely are some, which is a source for squeeing.

Yeah, it looks like Dr. Noise’s new album includes at least three trock songs. squee!
